Well being that it is "camufluage" and all, I'd estimate somewhere between 7 inches and 42 miles.
How tall it is, and what color it is doesn't matter to anything. To even take a guess you would have to know if it's an adult or a childs bow, how heavy an arrow and most important, what the draw weight is. An adults hunting bow will fling an arrow for a couple - three hundred yards if all you're after is how far it can shoot.

hunting season If polar bears are facing extinction why is there a hunting season for them?
I see the commercials all the time "Save the polar bears" and the movie Earth broke my heart. Kept having nightmares about that poor polar bear. I have been looking into finding a reputable organization to donate funds to, to assist the polar bears.
My husband just recently took up hunting to "live off the land" if you will and he told me there was a hunting season for polar bears listed in the open season catalog.
What's the deal? Are they facing extinction or not?
I just asked him and he believes it was Canada...
Polar Bears are "Threatened" which means they aren't endangered, but have their own protected habitats.
Now, in finding that you made me curious, so I went out to the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Wildlife and looked up the bear hunting regulations. It does not actually look like there is a season for hunting polar bear. Black, Brown, and Grizzly yes, Polar, no. So I would encourage him to double check. I'm not an Alaska resident so I may have just missed it.
Alternately, it could be that certain tribes of eskimos are allowed to hunt polar bears as part of their eskimo traditions. This is something like indian tribes in Washington being allowed to hunt whales.
Now that being said, many sources show that the population of polar bears is actually growing and several sources project them coming off the threatened list in the not too distant future (at least according to some of the reference sites when I was looking for the federal classification) so while I am sure the World Wildlife Fund would be more than happy to take your donation - they may spend it on Panda rather than Polar bears.

No. I think the 12 per season limit is just plenty. Besides, its not like Ga's deer season ends soon anyways.
Some areas can handle that many deer harvested, but other areas cannot. If anything, I think each county should be studied to see how it would handle an extended season. But, it all comes down to Ga DNR's decision.
Are you talking about the Northern Zone or the Southern Zone? Either way I think that Jan. 1st (Northern Zone) and Jan. 15th (Southern Zone)..... long enough. And then there's an extended archery season from Jan. 2nd to the 31st... and again, plenty long enough for folks to get a deer.
Personally, I think if someone hasn't gotten a deer with how long the season is in Ga, they need to spend more time out in the woods and/or try different areas.
I get a good few hunting magazines just for Georgia and I haven't seen anything in them or heard from anyone about Ga's deer season being extended anyways..
